Instructions

  1. Sharpen the pencil and save the shavings.
  2. Place the shavings in a pot with soil and cover slightly.
  3. Water and keep the soil always moist.
  4. Place the pot in a warm place with some hours of sunshine per day.
  5. When the soil appears to be dry (check with your finger), add some water.

Where are the seeds?

The seeds are included in the pencil paper and will be released when you sharpen the pencil.

Can I put the pencil in my mouth?

Yes, no problem, it may just have a bad taste from the paper and the seeds.

When to water?

Chamomile likes moist soil, but not soggy. Check with your finger: if the soil is dry, water it.

Can I use any soil?

It can be any soil, but quality soil with organic fertilizers it's better for growth.

Should I sharpen the pencil too much?

Save a generous amount of trimmings for more successful germination.

Will it grow again?

Chamomile is a perennial plant, it lives for more than 2 years.
