How to care for Air Plants
Light In order to thrive, air plants need bright, indirect light. They love being placed in a bathroom or kitchen window and the moisture will keep them happy.
TemperatureThe ideal temperature varies between 10º and 32º C. They can be placed on the outside but protected from frost.
WaterOnce a week, soak them in tap water for 20-30 minutes. After that shake the plant to remove the excess of water. Signs of under-watering your air plant include the leaf tips turning brown or crispy. An air plant with flowers should only be sprayed.
If the flower tips started to get little bit brown, you must prepar a bath through the night.
Air plants needs a lot of light, but not direct solar exposure. A bit of morning or afternoon sun is very good for their health.
You must add water at least once a week, and maximum 3 times a week.
You don't need to fertilize it, but that can help the plants to grow faster and healthier.
Air plants often give birht to little plants that grow away from the original plant.
Old leaves must be removed.
